Donna Leven and Nikki Dietzel

Donna and Nikki are sisters and they are the driving force behind the shop next door, The Paintin' Shed  and their shop in Saluda, The Wood Shed.  Donna cuts wood for a number of published decorative artists and enjoys painting on the wood pieces in her spare time.  Her silhouettes and cute quote signs are big sellers at the Guild Store although you don't want to pass up her skillful decorative painting on other wood pieces.

Donna is a certified instructor for Donna Dewberry One-Stroke Painting techniques and offers regular classes at the Paintin' Shed in downtown Hendersonville, right next door to the Guild Store.

As co-owner with sister Nikki Dietzel, of both The Wood Shed and The Paintin' Shed, Donna keeps very busy with her many versatile talents.

The Paintin' Shed sells a full line of acrylic paints, painting books and many other painting supplies and unfinished wood pieces ready to paint.  Many types of painting classes are offered by nationally published artists, as well as local artists.  Tole painting classes, open to all, are offered twice a week for beginner and experienced painters.

The Paintin' Shed also carries painted pieces in fishing, duck, decoys and experienced painters.  Ask Donna to do your custom wood cutting order and both Dona and Nikki will take special orders for painted items.

Nikki, the other half of this sister pair, is also a decorative painter who has received most of her instruction by another of the Guild members, Elizabeth Lindsey.  Nikki's decorative painting is for all seasons.  She paints mainly on cut wood pieces.  She looks forward to learning more from some of the published decorative artists who teach classes at The Paintin' Shed.  Both Nikki and Donna are charter members of the Guild. 

In addition to her painting, Nikki is a jewelry maker.  Specializes in taking old jewelry and re-designing it into new and more interesting pieces.  Pictures of some of her work may be seen below.
